About Me

Hello and Welcome to My Brain!

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my thoughts. You may be wondering what reason I have to start up a Blog and I promise it isn’t because I think I have incredible amounts of knowledge that must be shared with the world or, worse, to become a”famous blogger”. It’s really because I have a passion, a passion for life and enjoy all the small steps we take along the way to make our life one to be proud of. Therefore, I feel my small steps, my successes and failures, my relationships and friendships must be worth noting. I hope you enjoy them and share yours with me!

Kate Hollowood

If you like my style, come back for more, I’ll post a couple of times a week and you can subscribe by email as an easier way to keep track! In my offline life, I am an Actress, Model, Presenter and Music Enthusiast,  I love to dance and travel the world – I hope to dance all over the world before I die!

I must be honest, the future content of this blog is really an “unknown”…much like my life. However,  I can promise it will be a whole mix of travel, fashion, beauty, music, theatre, general experiences and probably a bit of advice and emotional stuff too. I will no doubt introduce you to the people who I love and share their anecdotes too. Now surely that is reason enough?!

    Hi Kate

I will try and make this relatively brief as I am sure you get loads of mail and are a busy lady :)

I just wanted to firstly say congratulations on your blog. It is a wonderful work and incredibly amusing and inspiring.

It is providing a beautiful distraction as I am trying to adapt an expensive, albeit it controversial live-action comedy into a 30 minute animated pilot suitable for the BBC. 2 years of dressing in tuxedos and performing stupid sketches at the Cambridge Footlights and a subsequent 6 year stint of laughing too hard at my own silly imagination have not prepared me for the slog of script editing- so many precious jokes will have to die :(

It is wonderful also to see someone so in love with, and captivated my music. Sounds silly I know but I have not encountered it to such an extent as I am the same as you. I have jacked in a job of 3 years to dive into music with the hope of being a music journalist and performing some of my own music- so long as I can get a band together. Not going to well; having a Nick Drake/Thom Yorke sort of personality have not been too condusive to productivity so will probably not make it far, but… life hey? What is important is trying, so thank you for that; your path has provided quite inspiring to me.

(Sorry, almost there…). I love your blog article on ‘Noah and the Whale’ and agree with it completely. 2011 is looking like a fantastic year for similarly enthralling albums. Personally I am salivating over the prospect of new albums by Wild Beasts and Radiohead. It’s almost painful having to wait!

Your work, wisdowm and words are fantastic and I hope many many people read your blog and follow you as you deserve a huge amount of success, unabated for years to come.

That’s that I guess. Reading BBC script guidelines and readapting an old Patsy Cline song; my life is a banquet :)

All the very best Kate; you have a LOT to be very proud of.

    Sam x
